This is a four-year integrated Masters course, which allows you to gain higher-level skills and really stand out to employers. The first three years are broadly in common with the BA (Hons) Business Management degree, complemented with an integrated industrial experience. The fourth year is the Masters level study. The integrated industrial experience starts in the second-year, with students joining a student led consultancy practice operated through the University's business incubator. On completion of your studies, you will graduate with a Masters-level degree in Business.
Year 1 will give you a thorough grounding in finance and accounting, people management, business environment, and entrepreneurship. In Year 2 you will explore business operations, marketing, and ethical, social & ecological enterprise. You will also start your industrial experience in consultancy. Year 3 will focus on strategic management and leadership and two further units. You choose to specialise by selecting an option unit from a wide range of business disciplines, and you will take on management responsibility within the consultancy practice. In Year 4 you will further develop your global perspective and critical thinking skills, undertake a substantial consultancy project, and chose a specialist option unit.
Your career prospects after the course
The M.Bus (Hons) Business degree is a Masters degree, so on completion of your studies you will have a postgraduate level award.
This, along with intergrated industrial experience gained throughout your studies, will give you the ability to stand out in a competitive jobs market and demonstrate to employers that you have gained advanced skills in business management from both a theoretical and a practical perspective. You will be equipped to apply for graduate jobs in a number of sectors or you may consider setting up your own business.94%

Meet Darryl Tracey Lim Chuin-Yi from Malaysia
Manchester Met is a fantastic place to further your studies. I first came to the University in 2011 as an undergraduate student and then continued on to study MSc Hospitality Management. The academic staff are excellent and the tutors here are qualified and very experienced. It has been a wonderful experience for both my undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
The facilities here are great with a library open 24/7 during term time and online databases. Many assignments involve working with industry on projects, which has enabled me to experience what working in the hospitality industry is really like. During my time here, I have networked with people from my industry, had my dissertation poster approved for a hospitality conference and won a placement in the US. It has definitely improved my CV.
The student support I have received here has been a great help. I applied for a placement in the US and staff at the University helped me throughout the process, from advice on my applications to help writing a great CV. English language support is also available through special programmes.
Manchester is such an international city and there are many friends to make and different cuisines to try. The student life here is great and there is lots to do from volunteering to sports. In my free time, I like to explore the museums and try out different restaurants in Manchester. I also enjoy traveling to different cities in the UK.
If you are considering Manchester Met for your studies my best advice would be to just say yes. Be aware of the opportunities available and just go for it!
Meet Dalya Algarni from Saudi Arabia
Manchester Met welcomed me and other international students with great support and advice, from the support staff at the student hub to the course tutors. Throughout this course, I have gained considerable knowledge that has added to my personal experience as a student. Tutors encouraged us to learn and to reach successful outcomes, such as thinking critically and supporting our points of view. Accepting my point of view and talking freely is one of the things that raised my self-confidence.
I would definitely recommend future postgraduate students apply to study at Manchester Metropolitan University.
