Would you like to become an economic expert in topics such as financial decision-making by firms, fiscal or monetary policy of governments, or trade and international business? Then this is the programme for you.

The three-year Economics and Business Economics Bachelor's degree is entirely in English. You will learn how business expertsand policy makers attempt to stimulate both corporate and economicactivity. The programme will give you the theoretical tools andanalytical skills needed to address complex issues.

During the first year - the foundation year - all students takethe same course units. In year two, you will either specialise inBusiness Economics, Economics or International Economics andBusiness.

* Business Economics focuses on decision-making within anorganisation from an economic point of view.
* In Economics, you learn to develop models with which to obtain anunderstanding of economic phenomena.
* International Economics and Business focuses on the economics ofglobalisation and its impact om firms' strategies andgovernment policies.

After finishing the Bachelor's degree, you can continue as amaster student at the University of Groningen.
