After your studies

Job prospects

Once you have completed the three-year Bachelor's programme andhave your degree, you may continue with the Master's degree programme to study your field in greater depth. A Bachelor's degree in IEM qualifies you for the Master's degree programme in IEM atGroningen, or the equivalent at another university. You can findwork in many organizations, from multinationals to consultancyfirms. A graduate in industrial engineering and management is athome in organizations that focus on innovation.

That means not only having confidence in existing solutions, butalso searching for new possibilities by integratingtechnologies.

If you graduate in Production Technology and Logistics...

The obvious career path is to work in a large factory where yourtask will be to improve the production process (e.g. a carfactory). Or you could choose another path: e.g. a hospital, researching how medical investigation equipment can be used moreeffectively and efficiently. A career with a consultancy firm is also a possibility.

If you graduate in Product and Process Technology...

A degree in this specialization qualifies you for positions in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Potential employersinclude Shell and DSM. Because you have a grounding in businessstudies, you will be more employable in a management position thana technical designer or chemical engineer.
