How do you successfully manage people and processes in multinationals in different countries and settings?

This 90 ECTS double Master's degree (offered incooperation with Uppsala University) acquaints you with all aspectsof managing multinational organizations, and their structures andstrategies, from the inside out. You will study multinationals and their strategies from a global perspective, but will also learnabout managing individuals working at multinationals.

You will acquire theoretical knowledge in relevant fields,ranging from corporate strategy to international human resourcemanagement and leadership. You will train your analytical skills,for example in thorough comparative analyses of the cultural andinstitutional environments in different countries. You will alsoget the opportunity to develop intercultural competence andteamwork skills hands-on, through (virtual) international teamworkand your stay abroad.

  • Management challenges related to increased globalization,including: the implications of an international organization within(for example, relations between headquarters and subsidiaries, andissues due to corporate governance systems) and between firms (for example, in international mergers and acquisitions,alliances).
  • The implications of leadership and top-management team composition for managing within and across national borders.
  • Cross-cultural teamwork and challenges related to internationalmanagement of human resources.
  • The strategic management of contemporary questions concerningsustainability in an international perspective.
  • International aspects of financial management and the associated financial risks of international business.
