The MSc SIM deals with these challenges, and teaches studentshow to help firm manage the firm's innovation activities and, in the process, helps turn ideas into profit.

The MSc SIM considers the whole strategic process of managinginnovations within companies and between companies. Our programmeis structured around the following four topics: (1) where doesinnovation come from; (2) how can the firm organise internally forinnovation; (3) how and with whom should the firm cooperate tomaximise innovation; and (4) how can the firm capture value frominnovation?

All of our courses are designed and executed by a small group oftop academic researchers, and our programme is, therefore, stronglyresearch oriented. By introducing students to the state-of-the-artin academic research, the aim of the programme is to give studentthe necessary tools to properly understand, evaluate and solvereal-life cases, and to conduct their own research.

A large number of our graduates have gone on to careers ininnovation. We have graduates who work as business developers andinnovation managers, working with innovation within the firm; asstrategic consultants, advising the firm on their innovationprocesses; as bankers, evaluating firms and their innovations; andas policy advisors, working on stimulating innovation at theregional, national, and international levels.

A large number of our students have, however, also opted formore general positions. Many of our graduates, for example, nowwork as general managers, strategists, or consultants, across a range of well-known firms and multinationals, and a number of ourgraduates have started their own companies.

Because all our programmes are EQUIS and AACSB accredited, a standard which only one percent of universities reach worldwide,your degree will be highly valued on the labour market.
