A supply chain can be seen as a network of organisations workingtogether to carry out customer orders. It is a flow of materials,information and services. The programme in Groningen is unique inthat it tackles the full range of the supply chain within all typesof organisations (production, distribution and services).

You will focus on the design and coordination of supply chains,and the planning and control of supply chain operations. Allaligned with the latest insights and trends, using both qualitativeand quantitative methods. The programme has professionals fromindustry involved and your teachers have a close relationship toSCM topics in both science and practice.

Graduates are able to define, diagnose and analyse supply chaindecision problems, and propose and evaluate effective solutions.With a mixture of rigorous academic methods and practicalapplicability, graduates have learned to develop supply chain theories, methods and best practices. 

Through the selection of elective courses you can focus onsupply chains in specific contexts,  for example in healthcarelogistics or process industry.
