About Technology and Operations Management at University of Groningen

How can resources be used efficiently and how can technological innovations contribute to gaining competitive advantage? This Master's programme will teach you.

The programme focuses on operations management aspects duringthe entire life cycle of products and services and on theintroduction of technological innovations in organisations.Graduates can approach technology-related questions from amanagerial perspective, a unique skill, highly valued byemployers.

Within the product life cycle, design is the first step. Thencomes production and customer's supply and the final step includeswarranty and product replacement. The programme teaches you how toorganise all phases. You will learn to ensure high levels ofcustomer satisfaction and cost efficiency.
The courses focus on core operations management aspects, such asasset management, facility design and planning, production planningand control, and inventory management. You will learn to define,diagnose and analyse problems that relate to the manufacturing orservice processes in organisations and develop and evaluatesolutions. You will also assess the impact of product, process, andtechnological innovations on the organisation. You can also takethe programme as a double degree master with Newcastle University(17 months).
