About DDM Central-East European Economies at University of Groningen

This double degree (with Corvinus University Budapest) combines international business and international economics topics, with a special focus on issues of economic transformation and integration.

For a career in international management or public policy youhave to understand the trends in the world economy, including theEuropean Community and the CEE region. The degree programme isoffered jointly by the University of Groningen, the Netherlands andCorvinus University in Budapest, Hungary.

Topics of the programme range from international trade andinvestment to the consequences of globalization for strategicdecision-making, in particular trade and capital flows in relationto multinational enterprises, and the socio-economic andinstitutional differences between countries, with a special focuson the CEE-region.

You are trained to become broadly oriented economists with a strong international profile and a deep analytical understanding of the main current trends in the global world of international(economic) policy and business organizations, ranging from thefields of international business and economics to internationalpolitics and international law. 

The core content of the programme reflects the increasingglobalisation and continuous evolution of international economicsand business management.
