Course content

You will study a range of compulsory modules across two years of study, covering key topics within Business Management. The intensive on-campus sessions at GGS will include a mixture of learning and assessment methods, aimed to equip you with the professional skills you will need to function effectively as a manager. The MSc Project is the culmination of the course and provides an opportunity to integrate, apply and further develop the skills and knowledge you'll have gained from your other modules.

You may also choose to take the optional Leeds Week and/or take part in the GGS international study tours.

Learning and teaching

We use a variety of teaching and learning methods to help you make the most of your studies. These will include lectures, guest presentations, company visits, group projects and discussions, role plays and case studies. Independent study is also vital for this course allowing you to prepare for taught classes and sharpen your own research and critical skills.

Assessment

You'll be assessed using methods such as exams, reports, essays, project work, presentations and essays. This diversity enables you to develop a broad range of skills as preparation for professional life and your career development.

Applying, fees and funding

Entry requirements

A German Bachelor degree with a minimum 2.5 grade point average or equivalent qualification.

You must also be in full-time employment or self-employment for the duration of the course. If you are unsure if you meet our employment requirements, we'll be happy to take a look at your individual circumstances.

As part of the selection process, you will be expected to take part in an admissions interview in English at GGS in Heilbronn.

IELTS 6.0 overall.

Additional cost information

The course is based at GGS and you will be expected to pay for travel to/from GGS, and if necessary accommodation at GGS, to complete the weekend classes.

There are two optional trips available to students. See details below.
Optional international study tour for students, alumni and staff to key business destinations. The price of the international study tour is dependent on the destination, which is subject to change each year. If you choose to take part you will be expected to pay all the associated costs. Costs of previous and planned trips are available from GGS.

The Leeds Week is an optional trip to Leeds. You will be expected to pay travel costs (including flights and train travel). You will be expected to pay for activities, events and other items that are not explicitly part of the organised Leeds Week. Your accommodation, travel and meals as outlined in the organised itinerary will be covered by Leeds University Business School.

Scholarships and financial support

The Dieter Schwarz Foundation supports courses at GGS. For the current incoming class, the Foundation provides successful applicants with a scholarship to cover 50% of tuition fee costs. Please note, this may be subject to review annually. In addition to the Dieter Schwarz Foundation, numerous other institutions and foundations in Germany offer a variety of scholarships .
