The University of South Australia (UniSA) is a progressive international university with a 150 year history, supporting a vibrant student community from around the world. The 2014-15 QS World University Rankings ranked us in the Top 50 global universities which are under 50 years old. We are the youngest Australian university to achieve this accolade.
The 2015 QS Stars Rankings awarded us with an overall five star rating, as well as five stars in the following eight categories: Research, Employability, Teaching, Facilities, Internationalisation, Social responsibility, Inclusiveness and Specialist Criteria. An overall five star rating typically distinguishes a university as being world class in a broad range of areas, enjoys a high reputation, has cutting edge facilities and an internationally renowned research and teaching faculty.
The University offers more than 400 degree programs across a wide range of subjects including business, law, education, arts and social sciences, health sciences, information technology, engineering and the environment. Programs are designed in consultation with business and the professions and include fieldwork, placements, industry-guided simulations and business projects. This real-world experience provides students with the qualities that employers look for.
Students benefit from the modern facilities and are taught by academics who are experts in their field. The most recent Excellence in Research for Australia evaluation showed that 86 per cent of the University’s assessed research was rated as world standard or above.
We are the only Business School in Adelaide that is EQUIS accredited and one of only eight in Australia.
In the 2014-15 Times Higher Education World University Rankings we were ranked in the World Top 100 (in position number 69) for Engineering and Technology.
In the 2015 QS Subject Rankings we were ranked in the top 100 institutions in the world in the QS subject areas of Education and Architecture/Built Environments.
