The University of Trento is a dynamic, middle-sized, research-oriented university, featuring high quality teaching and research facilities. It is a young university (founded in 1962) but it has increasingly broadened its research and training fields, thereby including new disciplines and it has continuously pursued high quality research and teaching activities which cover a wide range of academic subjects and specializations.
The University has remained small in size, but great in quality, capable of playing a high-level, well-deserved, role at European and international levels.
Indeed, it has developed strong European and international networks of cooperation and relationships, with a series of programs and agreements with Universities in every continent.
For example, UniTrento students have several opportunities to spend a study/research/internship period abroad or to achieve double-degree qualifications with international partner Universities.

English is the teaching language of one Bachelor’s, 18 Master’s degree courses and 15 PhD Programs.
