About English with TEFL, BA - at University of Wales Trinity Saint David

Course Overview

With its focus on the degree level study of teaching English as a Foreign Language, the degree pathway offers you the opportunity to pursue a distinctive thread of learning through all three years of your degree, a thread that will enhance your employability in Britain as well as abroad. This focus is combined with the study of English literature which includes study of the large historical picture of English studies (from Beowulf to Tom Wolfe) with a responsiveness to new directions and concerns precipitated by developments in critical and cultural theory.

There is a strong sense of community among students and staff, and the ratio of staff to students is such that students can have ready and easy access to all their lecturers. The small classes are always friendly and never intimidating, allowing staff to get to know their students on a first-name basis.
