About Road Management and Engineering, MSc - at University of Birmingham

The Road Management and Engineering programme is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge of management procedures for the planning, appraisal, design, construction and maintenance of road networks.

The programme is relevant to conditions found in both developed and developing countries and are suitable for road engineers and civil engineering graduates who want to pursue a career in road management. This programme in its current form is a natural progression from our previous programmes in highway engineering, management and traffic engineering that have gained an international reputation over the past 25 years. Its purpose is to provide advanced training for engineers aspiring to higher or middle-management positions in either private or public sector road engineering organisations. The course attracts participants from all over the world including practicing engineers who wish to gain knowledge of the state of the art in road management or change career paths as well as recent graduates who want to pursue a career in road management.

Entry requirements

Students need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band.
