About Business Studies (Second Year Entry), BA - at University of Exeter Business School

This programme is a broad and flexible degree, based in the School of Business and Economics, with entry into year 2. It is suited to students who have completed the first year of a UK undergraduate degree or equivalent.

The programme will give you an understanding of the functional areas of business and how they interact with management theories and practice. It will allow you to develop your knowledge of businesses and the environment in which they operate, and enhance a range of skills necessary for employability in a variety of administrative and managerial job markets.

You may enter the second year of this programme after completion of the first year of a degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or a related subject, either here in the School of Business and Economics, or at another equivalent institution. International students are welcome to apply for entry at this stage and subject to their meeting the University's requirements of proficiency in the English language.

In the second year you'll study Marketing and Consumer Behaviour together with 90 credits of electives. The choice of these will be determined following discussion with the Head of Undergraduate Studies. In your third year you will study Business Strategy and again will have 90 credits of electives.
