About Sport and Health Sciences, MSc - at University of Exeter


The MSc in Sport and Health Sciences is a popular and well-established non-vocational postgraduate degree, which appeals to graduate students from a variety of disciplines. During the programme students learn to apply the latest theoretical concepts to practical sport and health science problems and projects, supervised by internationally recognised academic researchers.

The principal aim of the MSc is:

  • To reflect the School’s strong and unique reputation for internationally excellent multi-method and multidisciplinary research and teaching in the sport and health sciences.


It aims to achieve this by:

  • The provision of a sound basis in quantitative and qualitative approaches to the sport and health sciences, as well as a research dissertation.

  • The provision of modules allied to the research expertise of the staff across various, diverse disciplines (psychology, qualitative research/sociology, social sciences, physiology, biomechanics, sport and exercise medicine, paediatric exercise science).


Entry requirements Normally a first or second class degree in a relevant discipline.
