About EMBA-Global Asia, MBA - at The University of Hong Kong

EMBA-Global Asia is offered jointly by three prestigious business schools, Columbia Business School, London Business School and The University of Hong Kong Business School. EMBA-Global Asia is designed for high-potential, globally-focused executives and managers who are seeking to deepen their understanding of both Western and Eastern business, and who are passionate about the opportunities Asia's rapid economic development affords.

Taught by world-class faculty members in the leading economics capitals – New York, London and Hong Kong, students benefit from unique insights and gain a truly global perspective. By taking advantage of the Schools' location, students hear from influential and industry leaders from throughout the world.

The programme gives students the opportunity to learn alongside an extraordinarily talented and diverse cohort representing a wide range of nationalities and industries. EMBA-Global Asia students bring variety and depth to the learning experience, enabling them to develop a broader global perspective and to foster professional relationship and networks around the world. Graduates are alumni of all three schools and have full, life-long access to an unparalleled global alumni network with more than 85,000 alumni from the three schools.

All the courses are taught in four- to six-day residential class weeks by London Business School, The University of Hong Kong, and Columbia Business School faculty. Elective courses can be selected from the combined portfolio of London Business School, The University of Hong Kong, and Columbia Business School. The schedule will vary depending upon which courses are chosen and in which format these courses are offered.

Courses are taught by classroom-based lectures, case studies and group work. Career management services are provided by each partner school. An MBA degree will be conferred jointly by London Business School, The University of Hong Kong and Columbia University.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for admission to the courses leading to a taught postgraduate qualification, a candidate:

a) shall comply with the General Regulations;

b) shall hold a Bachelor's degree of this University or a qualification of equivalent standard from this University or another comparable institution accepted for this purpose;

c) shall satisfy any other admission requirements which may be prescribed from time to time for the relevant curriculum; and

d) for a candidate who is seeking admission on the basis of a qualification from a university or comparable institution outside Hong Kong of which the language of teaching and/or examination is not English, shall satisfy the University English language requirement applicable to high degrees as prescribed under General Regulation G2(b).

An application for exemption from the above requirements shall be considered on a case by case basis.
