About Diploma Chefs Apprenticeship, Diploma - at University of West London

Course summary

OverviewThe Chef Apprenticeship is designed to help you to develop your skills as a chef. It aims to open opportunities for you within the hospitality and catering industry by partaking in a partnership between an employer and the University, giving you an excellent opportunity to learn within the industry whilst being supported towards the end point assessment of the apprenticeship.
Why choose the Chefs ApprenticeshipAs part of the apprenticeship, you will be required to attend the University 1 day each week, where you will spend your time in a training kitchen completing practical work and assessments. You will also undertake some classroom studies, completing the work necessary for the theoretical and functional skill elements of the course.
Chef tutors will regularly visit you at your workplace, to monitor and plan your progress with your employer. It is imperative that you are employed in a suitable workplace to support the chef apprenticeship. We can help with this.
Career and study progression Our apprentices are normally employed in prestigious establishments such as The Ritz, The Dorchester, Gordon Ramsay Restaurants and the Royal Automobile Club to name a few.
Where candidates are employed in establishments linked to The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts they can undertake the final RACA Diploma exam.
