Access to the Master is subject to passing the Preliminary module in Transportation Design, an alignment course aimed at imparting skills in the various design and representation languages adopted in this sector.

DETAILS OF THE MASTER IN TRANSPORTATION DESIGN

The Master programme’s goal is to provide students with not only comprehensive preparation, but also the ability to develop a vision of the automotive industry’s future.

Students will refine and perfect their modeling and representation techniques in applying them to different areas of design.
They will be challenged to develop their sensitivity to the language of forms, analyze past and contemporary design trends, and research innovative materials and production processes to develop their own design thinking.
Special attention will be given to interaction design, preparing students to fully understand and use the latest available technology to create and design a logical and effective interaction between the user and the product, in order to achieve efficient communication. They will research innovative materials and manufacturing processes to develop their design thinking.

Graduates of the Master’s in Transportation Design will be able to contribute creatively to the design society, find solutions to transportation and mobility challenges, and experiment with multiple approaches and techniques to achieve optimal solutions. Studying with professional designers and participating in projects with partner companies will stimulate students’ creativity and give them insight into the professional environment and experience of the design process.

Entry requirements

Both Preliminary and Master’s programmes are intended for graduates in Transportation Design, Industrial Design Automotive Engineering and related subjects, and those candidates who matured significant professional experience in the transportation field.

Fees, Funding and Scholarships at IAAD. - Institute of Applied Art and Design

IAAD. annually provides financial assistance to students, aiding in covering their tuition fees.

BACHELOR’S COURSES

First-year students at IAAD receive financial aid based on their income, motivation, and aptitude, offering partial exemption from the annual tuition fee. Economic qualifications depend on the student's family income and assets.

Applicants can submit a copy of their valid University ISEE certificate via email during the application phase, no later than the date of the admission test session they plan to attend.

MASTER’S

IAAD. supports Master’s students with scholarships partially covering course expenses and offers subsidized loans for further studies.

Please note that the number of available scholarships is limited, and it's crucial to consider that they are awarded based on the Commission's evaluation of specific qualifications, including:

  • Personal portfolio
  • Educational qualifications and degrees
  • Professional experience

The Commission evaluator will award scholarships at her sole discretion. IAAD provides scholarships amounting to 50% of the tuition fee. Successful candidates will be notified of their scholarship upon acceptance into the Master’s program via email.
