History

Imperial College London was founded in 1907 by Prince Albert. At one point the College was part of the University of London, but left it a century later. The University is based in London, with the main campus being located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Other campuses are located in White City, Hammersmith, East Acton, Paddington, Westminster, and Silwood Park near Ascot.
